Portraits with Purpose is a Napa-based art initiative created by artist and shelter volunteer Agnes Pierscieniak. Agnes transforms your pet’s personality into vibrant, one-of-a-kind artwork. Every portrait directly supports artwork for Napa County Animal Shelter Dogs, helping them be adopted.
Custom artwork is thoughtfully designed around your pet’s vibe—whether playful and colorful, soft and soulful, or Napa inspired. With every commission, you receive access to a private online gallery featuring your pet’s artwork. From there, you can order beautifully crafted keepsakes, including framed prints, canvas art and mugs.

How it Works
Place your order
If you have a preferred style or colors, fill out form in checkout.
Upload your photos
After purchase, we’ll email you requesting 2–4 photos of your pet.
Review your custom artwork
Within 2 business days, you’ll receive your design or design options to review.
Choose your favorite (if you purchased 2+ designs)
Select the portrait you love—we’ll send a high resolution print ready file.
Printed & delivered
If you choose the printed option, your chosen artwork is professionally printed and mailed to you.
Your pet’s portrait doesn’t end with the artwork.

I’ve always seen my cat, Beetlejuice, as a work of art—and now he truly is! Agnes perfectly captured both his cool, confident side and his sweet, soft nature. My absolute favorite part of both images is the attention to detail, especially the way she highlighted one of his best attributes: his tiny little fangs! As an added bonus, each portrait supports a local shelter animal. As a shelter volunteer, I am ecstatic to support such a meaningful endeavor that so perfectly highlights just how special these amazing shelter animals truly are.

I adopted Nigel five years ago from the Milo Foundation in Richmond, CA. I’ve had dogs all my life but Nigel is by far the best dog I have had. He’s protective, obedient, loving and a quick learner. The portrait Agnes created for me of Nigel is beautiful, so unique, and captures his personality more than a simple photo. I love it so much to have this art piece hanging in my office to admire daily.
