Smoke Like A Fire

The rays of summer dry up the landscape and the air is warm. We are wary of any spark. We see smoke and think fire. Nature goes through cycles of birth, death, and regeneration. There is beauty in destruction but also tremendous loss.

This piece is part of a new collection called "Change of Seasons." The designs are created with alcohol inks and air. The medium is one that is in constant motion just as life in Napa Valley is always evolving. The artwork is focused on color, texture, and flow. The series is relaxing to paint and to view. Viewers get pulled into clouds of color and shapes inspired by nature.
