Napa Mural

Wine Whispers in Color

I am absolutely thrilled to announce the completion of my latest mural right here in the heart of Napa Valley! My work was chosen in a juried public art competition sponsored by the city of Napa.

As an artist, designer, and educator residing and creating within the Napa Valley, I am deeply committed to capturing the essence of our stunning surroundings. My work revolves around process-based art, where the interplay of materials, timing, and chance gives rise to unexpected moments of magic.

This new piece, part of my "Seasons of Change" collection, is particularly special to me. Inspired by my first year immersing myself in the vibrant colors of our changing seasons and the rhythmic cycle of winemaking, I set out to express these experiences on canvas.

Using Alcohol Inks, a medium as ephemeral and dynamic as the seasons themselves, I sought to capture the essence of Napa Valley's harvest, crush, and the tranquil flow of the Napa River. The result is a lively blend of colors, textures, and patterns that celebrate growth, transformation, and the optimism inherent in every new beginning.

This mural is not just a work of art; it's a reflection of my profound connection to this beautiful valley and the ever-evolving journey of life within it.

I invite you to come and experience this piece firsthand, located at Pearl and Main in downtown Napa. Let yourself be swept away by the vibrant energy of "Seasons of Change" as it adds a splash of color and joy to our beloved Napa Valley!

This piece is part of Agnes’ “Seasons of Change” collection. Using the ephemeral and aptly named medium of Alcohol Inks, Agnes creates an abstract blend inspired by harvest, crush and the Napa River, expressed through color, texture and pattern. Agnes embraces process-based art where an alchemy of materials, timing and chance creates unexpected magic. This vibrant artwork celebrates growth, transformation, and the optimism of new beginnings.
